Kevin has been in Milhaven for three weeks, and so far he's buried his father, taken over as the Seated Sorcerer of Camden, and become the Master Sorcerer of Terah. He didn't choose to take on these roles, he inherited them, along with the headaches that come with them. The job descriptions are simple: handle anything and everything that comes to the attention of his office, and if it's a problem involving any of the humans on Terah, it will find its way to his desk.

Just when he thinks he's getting a handle on things, the unthinkable happens. Someone steals a dragon's flame pendant. First time that's happened in the five hundred years that the Sisters of Healing have been wearing them. And everyone's expecting Kevin to get it back.
