FBI Special Agent William Parker knows what it’s like to lose the people you love. He’s convinced himself that his job is all he needs to be happy. But while he's protecting Megan and Nora from a brutal terrorist group, his emotionless and solitary life is torn to shreds. With Christmas fast approaching, can Megan and Nora convince him that it’s safe to love again…even if loving them is harder than letting them go?

Praise for Leeanna Morgan’s books:

“I am addicted to Leeanna Morgan's books! The only problem with them is that I hate coming to the end of one, and can't wait for the next good read. I love how she weaves the characters together and draws you right into their lives. If you haven't discovered her, please do give her books a try. You won't be disappointed, except for not having found her sooner!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I couldn't put it down. I purchased it today and finished it just now. Captivating story from beginning to end. Definitely a five-star book.”

Q&A With Leeanna:You live in New Zealand. Why did you decide to set your novels in Montana?

When I started writing Gracie's story in FOREVER DREAMS I had no idea we'd end up in Montana. But Gracie is a determined woman. She hopped on a plane and left New Zealand for Big Sky country and the most incredible journey of her life. Along the way we discovered that New Zealand has more in common with Montana than we thought - amazing scenery, lots of wide open spaces, and people with kind hearts and warm smiles. We found a home away from home and decided to stay.

Who are the authors you enjoy reading?

I love happy endings :) My favorite authors are Nora Roberts, Jill Shalvis, Kristan Higgins, SJ McCoy, Melody Grace, Jayne Ann Krentz, Barbara Freethy, Tess Gerritsen, Debbie Macomber, and Bella Andre.

What are the best things about being an author?

I enjoy bringing a character's happy ever after to life. It's wonderful plotting out a book, seeing my hero and heroine overcome obstacles and find true love. I also enjoy receiving feedback from my readers. It's wonderful when a story touches someone's heart.

A CHRISTMAS WISH is a standalone read with a HEA. There are no sex scenes so any age can read and enjoy. It is set in Sapphire Bay, Montana. After her parents and sister were killed, the heroine, Megan finds herself the guardian of her niece, Nora, a 5 year old. Megan has a cake baking business that she uses to support the two of them. She works from home and her cakes run from $100 on up. It gives her time to spend with Nora as well as support them. Her life is pretty easy going and not too much happens until one day she finds herself in a safe house with an FBI agent guarding them.

Megan is not sure what is going on. She has been told her life is endanger as well as that of Nora because her older brother is working on a top secret project and enemy groups want his information. There is one big problem. She doesn't have a brother. However, she is aware that it is not just her life at stake here, she doesn't want Nora harmed and until they can get everything straight she agrees to go to a safe house.

They are taken to a house in Sapphire Bay, Montana and they will stay there until this enemy group is captured and they are again safe. The agent in charge is William. He is single, divorced, and grieving for the daughter that will killed in a car accident. Nora immediately takes to William and sets out to steal his heart. She is a little younger than his daughter so the assignment is both bitter and sweet.

The three of them are living in a house of a friend to the FBI. It is a life changing event for all three. William is attracted to Megan but she has been burned once and she is a little misguided in her thinking. This is the story of their journey to a HEA. It is a sweet, clean, romance. It is very touching as Nora falls for William and wants him to be her Dad. Megan is torn because the FBI has informed her that her whole life is a lie. She finds out secrets from her past that she had absolutely no idea were her secrets.

It is a very good read. Very interesting as secrets become exposed and Megan learns what living really means. Nora will still your heart. William is a different kind of hero but still a hero. Megan needs to learn to just let go and enjoy her young life. It was very enjoyable and I definitely recommend it.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 11/26/2019

Leanna Morgan’s “A Christmas Wish” is the third entry in her Sapphire Bay series. Set in Montana (which must allow lakes to have bays), this novel begins as a sub-sub-genre – romantic Christmas suspense – before it changes to a more traditional Christian romance about halfway through. Megan Stevenson, 34, is a former teacher in Dallas, now operating a fantasy cake business in Milwaukee. She’s also caring for her niece, Nora; Megan’s parents and sister were killed in an automobile accident.

Megan receives a visit from FBI Special Agent William Parker, who tells her that (a) she likely has a brother she never knew about, (b) she was adopted, and (c) a terrorist group is after her brother and his relatives, and they’ve been following her. Megan and Nora are taken by the FBI to a safe house in Sapphire Bay, Montana, with William providing most of the security. William has his own personal tragedy; his daughter died from injuries in a car crash and his wife blamed him so much for the child’s death that she divorced him.

Five-year-old Nora provides a considerable amount of the glue that causes Megan and William to begin to stick. Megan also makes cakes and cookies to die for (with a recipe at the end of the story). Nora’s Christmas wish is for a daddy, and she’d like one just like William. But there are issues and problems.

"A Christmas Wish" is an enjoyable read but the suspense might have lasted a bit longer.

I loved this story. There's a message of hope throughout the story, as well as a slow building romance. I don't know about anyone else, but this story warmed my heart, and put me in the real spirit of Christmas. I loved the plot line, the setting in the small town, and all of the characters, including all of the secondary characters. Because without them, the story wouldn't have been half as good as it was. Little Nora was such a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. More than once I wanted to reach out and hug her. And I could so clearly feel the love, and respect growing by the day between Megan and William. But it was the conversations between Nora and William, that really stole my heart.

I would highly recommend this story to everyone!

Okay, the plot's a little far-fetched, but it's still a fun story. I like that Megan and William clearly feel attracted to each other from the beginning, but it felt like an age-appropriate attraction. Lately, I've been reading books where the characters are in their late 20s or even their 30s, but they seem to act like little high schoolers in love. These characters felt like they were in their 30s. Sure, they were both a little stubborn and maybe a little immature at times, but I think that makes them more relatable for readers.

This is a fun, cute romance. There's no bad language or sexual content. I hadn't planned to read the whole book in basically one sitting, but once I started reading, I kept telling myself "One more chapter." Before long, I knew I wasn't going to be able to put it down until I was done. This was my first book by Leanna Morgan, but I am definitely planning on reading another book by her. I love her characters, and I love the story.

This is a sweet romance that centers around the couple rather than any danger that might surround them. The main "threat" that was the basis of the story was over by around the half way point of the book.

I didn't always feel the chemistry between the two, and it was a bit tough to feel they were falling in love without much physical (non-sexual) touches. I did not care for how they dealt with the ways to work out their relationship after the threat was gone.

It's a good book to read when you need to relax the brain. But, this did not make me want to read more from this author.

William met Nora and Megan when he was protecting them. The more time he spent was with them, he fell in love with them. He was scared at first but later realized that he couldn't live without them. Nora got her Christmas wish of William becoming her dad.

Megan Stevenson is caring for her little 5-year-old niece Nora after the death of her sister, and the two have just started to build a life again and settle down. Their quiet life is shattered again when FBI Agent William Parker has to inform them that they are threatened by a terrorist group, and that he's to bring them to a safe house.
Whilst waiting for the threat to pass, William is getting closer to both Megan and Nora, but what will happen afterwards?
Predictable, yes, but very sweet and well told, with lots of humour, compassion and very likeable protagonists - and specifically little Nora, who will steal your heart within minutes.
I really liked this story, the first I have read in this series. I will definitely get more.

I have read all Sapphire Bay books now. I really enjoyed them all. I read this one last, as I missed it from the sequence. This one gave me a tear in my eye. Every book had something good in it. I will miss these books now that I have read them all. If you are like me, love a good romance book, then these books are for you. Good reading to you all.

Megan’s character is so powerful that it shows how well the author would have thought about it. I liked the storyline where all characters have distinct lives. It feels so real and genuine that such things do happen in life. Great blend of a romantic fiction story and pragmatism.
