I don't always like books about the paranormal, it really depends a lot on how deep it goes. I don't like witches and warlocks. I don't like monsters like Dracula or really far out fantastical stuff. I do like the kind of books with mild paranormal phenomena which, in some instances I believe are not only possible, but have come into contact with from time to time. For example very strong instincts, or objects moved by a mischievous brother who's not even in the room, but somehow made all the magnets fly off the fridge just to make me. Anyone who loves animals like cats and dogs know they have an uncanny instinct about when their person needs help or consoling. I haven't made up my mind about ghosts, but as a Christian, I'm certain there are Angel's and demons seen and unseen. However I'm not into books of horrifying interactions with these creatures. The world around us is both horrifying and wonderful. I find far too much horrifying true events in life to want to read about even worse horrors. Your books including this and the Sweet Cove series and some I haven't yet read, are very enjoyable with their touch of the paranormal. I just wish they came out more quickly, like maybe a new book everyday, but always refreshingly different. I'd give 10 stars if I could. A great read for anyone who loves mysteries with just the right touch of paranormal.

I love all the previous books written by Ms. Whiting so I ordered this. What a great surprise, a story of Mom and daughter suffering the most terrible of loses and then packing up and moving away from friends to a house they knew nothing about. I love the interaction of Mother and Daughter as they worked around the move, listening to strange noises in the new house and then the surprise. So far this book reminds me of the story Ghost and Mrs. Muir which is one of my favorites and look forward to more in this series.

Caught up is reading a story you often come across things that remind you of other books this story set in the modern day is completely different to the hook that I remember reading many many years ago. This was certainly no exception. Set in modern times this storyline gives a whole new perspective. A delightful story that is easy to read and thoroughly enjoyable.

Was a big fan of TV series 'The Ghost & Mrs. Muir'. This story fits right in with it! Remember, this is fun fantasy, not reality.

Another good series from J A Whiting, I enjoyed this book, I enjoyed Hope's interaction with Maximillian, (Max), the original owner of his/her house and a ghost, I'm sure Hope will be able to solve Max's murder, and the murder of her husband Doug, because it wasn't an accident as they want people to believe, Doug was a reporter and he was investigating the wrong people and it cost him is life. Hope helps Detective Derrick Robinson solve a murder and Max saves Hope's and Cori's lives. I'm looking forward to finding out more about Max, Hope, Cori and the residents and new friends they've made already and I'm sure they'll make more.

Very appealing formula mystery. Hope and daughter move to new town after the death of her husband. Of course, the house has a ghost and a current murder pulls Hope in. Has large conceptual holes, but is very pleasantly written.

Not one but three mysteries confront recent widow Hope in this action packed book. Hope and her daughter move far from their home in order to start fresh after the death of her husband. Their new home is more than an old house it’s a haunted house. The original owner , Max , approaches Hope with the idea that she can help bring him justice and reveal his murderer. Added to this task , Hope strongly suspects that her husband was murdered and she hopes to investigate that possibility If that wasn’t enough she is present at a wedding for her first client when the groom dies after eating her cake! Needless to say , this novel keeps the readers attention from start to finish.
