Review
This book was an amazing addition to an already fantastic series. After each book I keep thinking that one was my favorite and this book is no different. I enjoyed every second of it and I can't wait to see if Jessica Prince can top the love I have for this book with the next addition to this series. - Garden of REden
Jessica Prince does it again! I swear, just when I think there is no way she can top the last one, she proves me wrong. This book was the sweetest! I absolutely loved Rory and Cord! - Jennifer, Goodreads Reviewer
I am in aww with the Hope Valley series. Seriously, and I may already have said this in previous reviews in this series, I want to live in this town!!! - Crystal's Book World
I think Stay with Me is my new favorite Hope Valley story!! Cord and Rory are so perfect for each other. From their friendship, their time apart, clear through to the very end of the epilogue--pure perfection. - Live Through Books Blog

About the author

Born and raised around Houston, Jessica is a self proclaimed caffeine addict, connoisseur of inexpensive wine, and the worst driver in the state of Texas. In addition to being all of these things, she’s first and foremost a wife and mom.
Growing up, she shared her mom and grandmother’s love of reading. But where they leaned toward murder mysteries, Jessica was obsessed with all things romance.
When she’s not nose deep in her next manuscript, or binging on sit-coms, you can usually find her with her kindle in hand.

Cord made a mistake pushing Rory away and he had to fight to earn her trust back. Once Rory finally let him explain, giving her the story of his childhood, she understood Cord but still made him work to prove he wouldn’t hurt her again. Their relationship developed from friends to lovers, but it did not flow in a line. They both fought their relationship at different times and had to learn how to communicate before they could find their HEA.
I loved that this book added in the subplot of Zach. I thought he brought so much to the story. Rory’s immediate acceptance and protectiveness of Zach showed Cord another side of Rory he wasn’t expecting. Her whole family accepted Zach into their circle as soon as Rory decided she wanted to foster him. They gave Zach the best life they could after finding out the horrors he’d endured. I loved the few times the reader got Zach’s POV. He fit into Rory and Cord’s life effortlessly and became the bridge that allowed them both to see past the hurt and confusion in their relationship.
This was a great book and a great addition to the series. Their story was unexpected but so well written. Cord and Rory had a fantastic HEA.
I really liked the fact that although the story continued in the timeline of the series, you still got to see throughout the story what had happened in the past between Rory and Cord. So as a reader you really got the whole picture of their story. Which made that you really got to feel all the emotions…the hope, the longing and the heartbreak. Because Cord broke Rory’s heart there’s no denying that BUT once he decided that she was the ONE for him. He really went after her with everything that he was! I loved that about him. How he was there for her whenever she needed him. Rory was a great character. A woman who loved with all her heart and soul.
I adored both characters. And I also loved how they opened their heart for someone else too.
Because this story is more than a story about the love between Rory and Cord. It’s also a story about family, blood and no blood. I don’t want to say too much. Because I think that you have to experience this story for yourself. You get both POV’s in this story.
One of the things that I love about this series is the fact that the basic of each story may be the same (alpha man and sassy woman) but each story is still told in a different way. It’s never a repeat of the previous story. I also like the fact that the characters in this series are in their thirties, forties.
So… do you have to read the previous books to read this one? You don’t really have to but it was interesting to see flashes of their story in the other books.
I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series.
Rory knew the instant Cord walked into the bar he was her forever. The one man she'd been waiting for. They became friends. Best friends.
When Cord shut Rory down she was beyond devastated. She'd pinned all her hopes and dreams on him and he walked away. A decision he has agonized over for the last four years. The best thing that ever happened to him and he let his past dictate his future.
When Cord was hurt it was Rory that was there. She stayed by his side and she never left. Until that one moment in time when he woke briefly and destroyed all her dreams when he uttered another woman's name.
Cord is done now. He's done with her ignoring him. And he's taking what's his, what he should have done four years ago. Now he just needs to get past the walls that she has erected around her heart and her head.
Zach a kid in the foster system, one of the forgotten ones is the standout for me in this story. When he enters the picture it's like an arrow straight to the heart. His story is heartbreaking. And it's this boy that brings them all together. The acceptance into their lives they do with no second thoughts. He's one of them now. They just need to convince him that he's theirs.
Get ready to Cry. And I mean hard.
It's a story of second chances and opening your heart up to the possibility of getting your happiness. Of having someone have your back no matter what.
A huge yes from me!

Now we get Xander, this should be a great read!

The heroine has been through a lot of heartbreak at the hands of the hero, whom she loved at first sight and he put her in the friend zone due to feelings of obligation to a childhood sweetheart.
There were two sub plots in this story, I think they wove together fairly well but the climax I felt was reached too early and the last remaining chapters weren't as intense. I almost wish the order of events were reversed.
Aside from this, the characters were good. The language and relationship between the hero and heroine remind me of Kristen Ashley's novels, if you're a fan.
