Alchemy of Age is Victor Keegan's fourth book of poetry covering friendship, art, science, London, birth, death and everything in between, as seen through the magic mirror of age. Victor spent most of his working life at the Guardian, writing about finance, economics, industry and the information revolution. He now researches unusual places in London for his website: LondonMyLondon.co.uk and iPhone apps: Gems of London and Shakespeare's London. His earlier poetry books are: Crossing the Why, Big Bang and Remembering to Forget. He is married with two sons and his main hobbies are English Literature, English and Welsh wine and chasing his curiosity.

About the Author

Victor Keegan is a British journalist and author focusing on economics and technology issues. Born in London, he spent most of his working life at The Guardian as reporter, financial correspondent, deputy financial editor, economics editor, business editor, duty editor, Chief Leader Writer, Assistant Editor and Online Editor.
For 11 years he was a member of the Scott Trust, owner of the Guardian, the Observer and other media interests. In his latter years he wrote a weekly column on the internet and personal technology. He was also curator of the “SLart Gallery” in the virtual world Second Life from 2008 – 2012
In 2001 he started the first-ever text message poetry competition for the Guardian and in August 2003, kickAAS one of the first dedicated political blogs aimed at helping developing countries by abolishing agriculture subsidies. From 2008 to 2012 he was chair of a not-for-profit start up World Film Collective,‘WFC. that encouraged youngsters in very poor countries to make and edit films with their mobiles.
He has published iPhone apps including City Poems (which links classic poems via GPS to the streets of London), Gems of London, Shakespeare's London. Geo Poems contains all of the poems in his first three books linked by geo-tagging to the people and places That inspired them . He also writes poetry, paints using virtual techniques, and takes photographs. His five books of poetry (Crossing the Why, Big Bang, Remember to Forget, Alchemy of Age and London My Lonson) are available on Kindle or Smashwords. .
He is married to Rosie Keegan and has two sons, Daniel and Christopher.
