Overview

When the decapitated heads of an adult male and a young female are discovered in Glasgow, Detectives McBruce and Cartle are mystified. Until YouTube footage of both victims beheaded live on video are brought to their attention. As they investigate, horrific consequences come to light, not only around the two murders in question, but of past events steeped in tragedy and cruelty, and how the abusive happenings over the years in a Childrens Home can lead to a fractured sense of morality. Is all evil bad, may be a question for the fields of religion and psychology. One man though has answered that question himself, and regards the evil he does, not as cruel and murderous, but justice.

About the Author

Yes, this is all about me... so where to begin? I am a Scottish writer, novels and short stories, some poetry sometimes, but certainly concentrating on novels at the moment.

I started writing in my teens, poetry and lyrics, was briefly in a band, wrote some songs, developed prose and wrote numerous short stories and a few novels. Somewhere along the way though, the writing was left behind.

Move on, twenty-odd years, to the latter part of my fourth decade on the planet, and the creative impulse has returned. My website then, and my publications, are my panacea for a lengthy bout of writing procrastination. I am writing new and exciting stuff also. It gives me a buzz to do so. It is great to be back in the fray again!

Stevie Mach is my pen name, or nom-de-plume, an abridged version of my real name, Stevie McConnachie. In my normal everyday life, I am a graphic designer, writer and blogger, I live and work in central Scotland, and muddle along, much as most people do.
