A L Bates is a gay romance author with an interest in sci-fi, fantasy and contemporary fiction. More used to “behind the scenes” work, A L Bates has worked as an editor for several authors and publishers and is an avid supporter of indie writing. After publishing Deep, a gay sci-fi romance novella, A L Bates followed up with the sequel Surfacing. Since the publication of the series, A L Bates has also completed another sci-fi novella, Blood Lines. Six Feet Apart is her first contemporary romance and first collaboration.
